SUMMARY:Virtual Town Hall | Canadianism: What Does It Mean to Be Canadian?
DESCRIPTION:The Canadianist Network presents the first United Canadian Centrist Party Virtual Town Hall\, a new series bringing Canadians together for open\, thoughtful conversation about the country we share and where we go from here. \nOur first Town Hall takes place Wednesday\, September 16\, from 8:00 to 10:00 PM and will focus on Canadianism: What Does It Mean to Be Canadian? \nHosted by UCC Party founder and leader Christopher M. Michaud\, the evening will begin with a look at the party’s diagnosis of where Canada finds itself today and the three Foundational Provisions developed in response: Canadianism\, Democracy Renewed\, and The New Canadian Covenant. \n \nFrom there\, the evening belongs to Canadianism. \nWhat binds Canadians together across different backgrounds\, cultures\, languages and regions? What values do we share? What responsibilities come with citizenship? Can a strong Canadian identity and multiculturalism strengthen one another? What should Canada expect from those who choose to make this country home? And what is something about Canada that we should never be willing to lose? \nMost importantly\, this is a Town Hall\, not a lecture. Participants will have the opportunity to join the discussion\, ask questions\, disagree\, challenge ideas and share their own experiences. \n  \nThe session runs for two hours\, and participants are welcome to come and go as they please. Registration is limited to 100 participants. \nYou don’t have to agree on everything to be part of the conversation.
