Ankylosing Spondylitis: Living With It is a weekly podcast, one-hour radio program, and companion Facebook community focused on the real-world experience of living with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).

Hosted by Chris Michaud, who lives with ankylosing spondylitis himself, the show explores what daily life with AS actually involves, chronic pain and inflammation, fatigue, mobility issues, work limitations, mental health, food and diet considerations, and the emotional challenges of living with a long-term inflammatory condition. This is not a medical lecture or a cure-focused program. It is an honest, practical conversation grounded in lived experience.

Each new one-hour episode premieres every Monday and then replays daily at 3:00 p.m. on weekdays, airing at the same time throughout the week. This consistent schedule makes the program easy to follow and return to, whether listeners tune in live on the radio or catch up through the podcast.

Episodes may be reflective and personal, conversational, or focused on specific AS-related topics such as flare management, inflammation, diet and food triggers, adapting routines, maintaining identity and purpose, and navigating relationships while living with chronic illness. The tone is calm, realistic, and respectful of the fact that ankylosing spondylitis affects everyone differently.

The show is supported by a companion Facebook community, where listeners and members living with ankylosing spondylitis can connect, share experiences, ask questions, and talk openly with others who understand the condition firsthand.

Ankylosing Spondylitis: Living With It exists for people who are not looking for hype or false promises, but for understanding, perspective, and a reminder that they are not navigating AS alone.
