Through the Tower is Canadianist Radio’s midday examination of federal politics and public policy, grounded not just in Parliament, but in the lived experience of Canadians.

Each weekday, the show follows what’s moving through Parliament, legislation, debates, policy shifts, and political decisions, and then takes those questions beyond the walls of Ottawa and into the real world. What does this mean for people right now? How does it land on the street, at work, at home?

A defining feature of Through the Tower is its man-on-the-street reporting. Our microphones leave the studio and go directly to Canadians. Listeners hear unfiltered reactions, concerns, and perspectives from everyday people, recorded on location and woven directly into the discussion. Those voices then come back into the studio, where they’re examined, debated, and placed in context.

The result is a show that moves in both directions, from Parliament outward, and from the public inward. Policy meets people. Power meets reality.

From housing and healthcare to taxes, energy, infrastructure, and national priorities, Through the Tower connects federal decision-making to the voices of the people affected by it, and carries that conversation cleanly through the noon hour.

This is Parliament in context, policy in plain language, and the country talking back.
